Overview
GlobalReach Gateway provides all the benefits of our Service Bureau but leaves the licensing, hosting and maintenance of the messaging application, such as SWIFTAlliance Access or Entry, up to you.
With our Gateway service your messaging application connects to our SWIFTAlliance Gateway via RA through our supplied VPN connection(s) which allows you to take advantage of our expertise when it comes to managing SWIFTAlliance Gateway, SWIFTNet Link, HSM's, PKI certificates and connectivity. You also receive considerable savings over owning your own connection as our Gateway is shared with several institutions giving economy of scale.

Communication between the customer’s sites to GlobalReach is taken care of by hardware VPN devices (diagram item 1). These devices create an encrypted and extremely secure “Internet tunnel” through which all communications travel. Customer VPN’s create and maintain a tunnel to both the GlobalReach Production and Disaster Recovery sites meaning instant switch over of service is achievable in the unlikely event of a disaster at production.
VPN’s are configured, supplied and installed by Decillion consultants after agreeing a network design with the customer.
The customer's messaging application (diagram item 2) connects to the Gateway (diagram item 4) in the bureau via the RA/RAHA protocol.
Each GlobalReach site is housed in a “state of the art” data centre. Industry standard networking devices are employed to terminate customer VPN connections and ensure absolute security (diagram item 5). The infrastructure and applications are shared by multiple customers but segregated to ensure data is secure at all times. Each site has its own dedicated and certified consultants which take care of the system, analyse data from our monitoring system, plan and conduct upgrades, patches and fixes as well as responding to user requests and queries.
Connecting Alliance Access to SWIFTNet requires two communication application’s, SWIFTNet Link and Alliance Gateway which take care of message delivery. To maintain security of the network all traffic must be controlled by digital certificates unique to each institution. These “PKI” certificates are located on clustered hardware security modules (HSM) as mandated by SWIFT. GlobalReach connects to SWIFTNet via a SWIFT mandated leased and backup line.
